Happy Canada Day!
Over the last couple of years, I’ve been lucky enough to participate in several of David Hamilton’s Ottawa Writing Workshop programs. His friendly and laid-back approach to teaching storytelling and novel writing has given me a new passion in life, and I’m proud to announce the release of my second novel in a series of Science Fiction books about a marine biologist and his encounters with ancient alien colonists.
Here is book two in the series, The Search for Scott, where Dr. Scott Blake continues his quest to clean up the world’s oceans with the discovery of a new species of plastic-eating plankton. He is allied with a cast of intergalactic heroes who must work together to battle an evil world consortium bent on destruction. Among the heroes is the great Xero Nekton, who must overcome his past sins and fight for his adoptive home planet and redeem his family name.
Set in the Space Opera genre, the Marine Space books tackle pressing issues of plastic pollution, global warming, and over-fishing – but who or what is driving the force of destruction? And how can they be stopped?
MS2 can be read as a stand alone, but if you prefer to read it in sequence, Marine Space 1, The Fury of Xero Nekton, is also available on Amazon. As a special Canada Day gift from me, starting tomorrow for the next five days, the kindle version will be free as a special promotion.
Book three in the series, Attack of the Squidarma, is in beta testing, and I hope to have it out during the fall of this year. And now that I’ve gotten this uncomfortable self-promotion out of the way, my real work can continue, writing the next segment in the continuing saga of Scott Blake, marine biologist 😉
Happy Canada Day and have a great summer!
Nick
