Self-Iso Files #1 – a writer’s dream

Being told you have to stay home may seem like a chore to some, but to a lazy introvert like me, it’s gold. Pure gold.

And to a guy who is working on becoming a writer, priceless. Though if I could pry myself away from the Internet for two seconds, it would be better. Got lots to do and the time is ticking away.

My to-do list is long: start an email list, promote my books, write my current one, edit my last… start my next….  learn how to write better…. brush-up on grammar, punctuation, style…. Yikes! how can one be bored?

Not to mention the other things in life, chores, home repair, relaxation.

Anyway, sweet blog, I know, but just wanted to get to the crux of the matter: The world is gone nuts with the Covid 19 pandemic, and rightfully so. It’s serious stuff, and I can’t write any more than what’s already been written. That horse is being beaten to death. But I digress.

I don’t need to remind you, just in case we need a little perspective, there are tons of other problems out there: Climate change, species extinction, plastic in the ocean and other pollution… rampant greed and military-industrial complex running amok, over-fishing…. anything else?

I forget what my point was… Oh ya, if you need a diversion from all this, and you want something to pass the time while you’re stuck at home, check out my books. They are super cheap on Kindle, and I’m donating half of sales starting now to the Parkdale Food Bank.  It’s not much, but it’s something.

Still working on changing the links from my home page, but until then, here is path to my first book, The Fury of Xero Nekton, and books 2 and 3 in the Marine Space saga.

Cheers, stay safe, and stay calm.

Nick

Oh ya, and if you like, please leave a comment, or sign up for my mailing list if I can figure out how to do that soon. 😉
